About The Project
Stoneway Contracting, a masonry company led by Antonio, came to me in need of a complete brand foundation. His goals were simple but essential: a recognizable logo that reflected the strength of his work, and a website where potential clients could easily view his projects and get in touch.
Building the Visual Identity
I began by establishing the brand’s visual language. The colour palette centres on Garnet and Davy’s Gray—tones that naturally echo the textures of brick, stone, and masonry work. For typography, I selected Gelasio as the primary font. Its classic, grounded feel paired well with the rugged, structural nature of the industry.
From there, I designed a logo that was intentionally crafted to represent the four cornerstones of Antonio’s business. This symbolism was important to him, and it became the anchor for the entire identity system.
Designing the Website
With the brand direction in place, I moved into web design. I created detailed Figma mockups for desktop, tablet, and mobile to ensure a seamless experience across devices. These prototypes gave the client a clear vision of the final product before development began. While the live site evolved slightly during the build, it remained true to the approved designs.
One of the key features Antonio requested was a slideshow banner. Coding this from scratch proved challenging, which led me to explore Elementor. It offered the flexibility and functionality needed to bring the design to life, and my coding background made it easy to understand how to customize it effectively. This project became a turning point in expanding my development toolkit.
The Outcome
The final website showcases Stoneway Contracting’s craftsmanship with clarity and confidence. Antonio was thrilled with both the brand identity and the site’s functionality. For me, the project was equally rewarding—I delivered a cohesive brand and user‑friendly website while gaining new skills and tools that continue to enhance my work.
