About The Project
Sabrina Andrews, a mental health counsellor, reached out after her existing website suddenly went offline and her agency stopped responding. She needed a clean, credible one‑page website that positioned her as a trusted leader in her field — and she needed it quickly so clients had a reliable way to reach her.
Building the Visual Identity
Because Sabrina already had an established presence, I began with a discovery call to understand her brand, values, and the visual elements she wanted to carry forward. She later shared her business card, which featured blowing dandelions — a symbol deeply tied to her identity and her tagline, Spreading Seeds of Hope.
Using that as the foundation, I pulled colours directly from her existing materials to create a grounded, nature‑inspired palette of earthy greens, soft yellow, and Night for contrast and readability. For typography, I chose Montserrat as the primary font for its clean, professional tone, paired with Luxurious Script used sparingly to echo the gentle, whimsical movement of the dandelion motif.
Rather than designing a new logo, we opted to use Sabrina’s name prominently, allowing her credentials and expertise to take centre stage. She provided all the copy, ensuring the site reflected her voice and approach.
Designing the Website
With the visual direction established, I moved into layout and structure. I created Figma mockups for desktop, tablet, and mobile to ensure the experience felt intuitive and consistent across devices. These prototypes gave Sabrina a clear preview of the final site before development began. While the live version evolved slightly during the build, it remained true to the approved designs.
To support Sabrina’s goal of giving clients a clear path to reach her, I integrated a simple contact form and, as a thoughtful last‑minute addition, included links to a recent podcast episode where she was featured.
The Outcome
The final one‑page website is simple, warm, and professional — a clear reflection of Sabrina’s work and personality. It restored her online presence quickly and gave clients a reliable way to connect with her.
A key takeaway from this project, and the one before it, was the importance of proposals and contracts. Clear documentation ensures alignment on scope, deliverables, and expectations, ultimately creating a smoother experience for both the client and myself.
